For a little over 1.5 years, I worked in two positions with Michael Johnson Performance (“MJP”). First, I held the position of “NFL Pre-Draft and Combine Intern: PR and Comms.” Then I transitioned into a more senior-intern role as “Senior NFL Pre-Draft and Combine Operations Intern/Assistant.”

Creative backing behind a nine-part IGTV series showing the behind-the-scenes of the NFL Pre-Draft and Combine process
Edited and posted long and short-form content to all social channels
Saw a positive gain of 10% social media engagement (including followers)
Liaison with media and third-party members, wrote pitches, and created media kits for journalists
Managed social media for MJP during the pre-draft season, supporting all marketing and communications deliverables and materials, enhancing brand visibility

Worked with videographers and photographers on partner content for key global partners
Liaison with media and third-party members, wrote pitches, and created media kits for journalists
Edited and posted long and short-form content to all social channels
Used momentum of engagement in 1st position to work with partners for personal (athlete) and company (MJP) branded deliverables
Approx. two still content, two short-form videos, and multiple story posts weekly per personal, company, and partner accounts
Handled freight, finance, and medical tracking for athletes and staff as needed
Pitched and oversaw a program with a financial services partner to host events about best practices to prepare athletes for their potential contracts
Partner held small group and large-scale sessions for athletes
