“Lisa, who had secured many of the sponsorships and donations for the original idea … now had to lead her group communicating with current sponsors and establishing new ones based upon the new plan. Her efforts to help her team were remarkable. The group ended up successfully implementing Taste of Tuscaloosa: Showcasing Local Traditions to Benefit Secret Meals. All $4792.37 raised during this effort by this group went directly to providing weekend food packs to 34 local, school children every weekend for an entire school year! Lisa was passionate and unshakable throughout the entire process, and she was individually responsible for so much of her team’s ultimate success. It is worth noting that when I was reading the peer evaluations from her group, Lisa was referred to as the “rock star,” and “MVP” by her group members.”
