“Event Marketing and Promotions Intern”

During my first year at Alabama, I interned with the UA Athletics’ marketing department on the rollout of the student loyalty program, "Tide Loyalty Points,” and various UA sporting events.

  • This was my first real step into the world of sports and entertainment, and I jumped in headfirst in my first year

    • Supported the rollout of the new “Tide Loyalty Points” ticketing system for UA students during the 2019–2020 football season, helping drive fan engagement and ease of access

    • Coordinated in-event talent logistics at gymnastics meets, working directly with anthem singers and DJs to keep the show running on time down to the minute

    • Led in-game promotions at men’s basketball games, collaborating with local partners (restaurants, retail brands) and selecting students for giveaways like half-court tuition shots and on-court contests

    • Assisted the broader marketing team at tennis matches, supporting signage, set-up, and crowd engagement

    • Distributed branded materials to local Tuscaloosa businesses to promote events and student attendance
