“Event Marketing and Promotions Intern”
During my first year at Alabama, I interned with the UA Athletics’ marketing department on the rollout of the student loyalty program, "Tide Loyalty Points,” and various UA sporting events.
This was my first real step into the world of sports and entertainment, and I jumped in headfirst in my first year
Supported the rollout of the new “Tide Loyalty Points” ticketing system for UA students during the 2019–2020 football season, helping drive fan engagement and ease of access
Coordinated in-event talent logistics at gymnastics meets, working directly with anthem singers and DJs to keep the show running on time down to the minute
Led in-game promotions at men’s basketball games, collaborating with local partners (restaurants, retail brands) and selecting students for giveaways like half-court tuition shots and on-court contests
Assisted the broader marketing team at tennis matches, supporting signage, set-up, and crowd engagement
Distributed branded materials to local Tuscaloosa businesses to promote events and student attendance
